Subjectively, I discovered that the GP500 had very accurate grayscale OOTB. I measured an DeltaE value of 2.3 which is less than the amount visible to the naked eye. This is quite good. The Dynamic Contrast feature really added depth to the a few night scenes in Life of Pi and the color on display was excellent as well. Avatar was very impressive too.
